Summer 2026 is where things get real.
Built directly from the lessons learned during Winter ’25, this batch focuses on tighter builds, stronger consistency, and a clearer standard across every piece.
We reduced variability where it mattered and leaned into it where it counts, keeping the character while improving the craft.
Magnet strength has been standardized with a new supplier, giving each Enforcer a more reliable hold and a more consistent feel across the batch.
The builds themselves feel more intentional this time around. Cleaner cuts. Better balance. More refined finishing. Still imperfect in the right ways.
These are still real hockey sticks carrying real history. We’re just handling them with more control now.
Summer ’26 also marks the first public batch.
Winter ’25 was experimentation. Summer ’26 is the transition from concept to product.
Every Enforcer in this batch continues the Stick Stories concept, expanding the digital layer with more defined narratives tied to every piece. Each one still carries a second life beyond the rink.
Summer ’26 also marks the launch of the Iron Shift platform, where collectors can explore Stick Stories, claim their Enforcers digitally, and become part of the growing Iron Shift universe.
Each claimed Enforcer permanently links its story to its owner, turning every piece into something more than just gear.
Every batch represents a moment in Iron Shift history, with its own identity, stories, and limited production run.
Summer ’26 also lays the groundwork for future Shift Kits and modular additions planned for later batches.
Every Enforcer is individually built and finished by hand. No two pieces will ever match exactly, and that’s part of the identity.
Iron Shift was never meant to feel mass-produced.
This batch remains limited.
Still seasonal. Still built in small batches.
When a batch is gone, it does not return.
But now, it’s ready.
Winter 2025
The Winter 2025 Collection was the foundation.
Our goal was simple: make 50.
Every Enforcer in this collection was built from player-donated hockey sticks. Real gear with real rink time behind it.
This wasn’t about chasing perfection. Winter ’25 was a proving ground.
Most of these pieces were handed out to friends, players, and early supporters. The builds were intentionally imperfect because we were testing everything:
- Assembly methods
- Tooling and jigs
- Materials and tolerances
- Design changes and balance
- Magnet placement and durability
- How long it actually takes to build one by hand
Some came out clean. Some came out rough.
Every single one taught us something.
Winter ’25 is also where The Enforcer became more than a bottle opener.
This collection introduced Stick Stories: a digital layer tied to every Enforcer. Each piece carried not just a function, but a backstory. A player. A moment. A second life.
That idea changed everything.
The stories were built with satire, beer-league humor, and chaos in mind. We hope people enjoy them as much as we enjoyed creating them.
At the same time, Winter ’25 helped launch:
- The Iron Shift website
- The shop infrastructure
- The systems needed to support future collections
This collection wasn’t really about selling products.
It was about figuring out whether this idea deserved to exist at all.
The player donations pushed us to pour even more creative energy into the project, and because of that, we also want to be transparent about the early issues we encountered.
Known Issues From Winter ’25
1. Magnet Strength Variations
Some Enforcers have stronger magnetic pull than others. We learned a lot from this run and already identified better sourcing options for future collections.
2. ShiftID NFC Detection
The NFC chips themselves work well, but smartphone NFC detection is more complicated than expected. Phone hardware location, positioning, device state, and scan angle all affect reliability.
Because of this, every Enforcer currently ships with a QR code backup for ShiftID access.
What Comes Next
There may be another collection.
There may not.
If Iron Shift continues, the next chapter would be Spring 2026, built with everything we learned from Winter ’25.
Higher standards. Fewer compromises. Clear intent.
But collections are never guaranteed.
They only happen when the timing, the materials, and the purpose align.
